Sparkable is designed to amplify posts appreciated by people across the spectrum.

Here's how it works:

Our bridging-based ranking system will amplify content that brings people together. Instead of promoting posts based solely on popularity, Sparkable highlights posts seen as high-quality by groups who typically disagree with each other.

In other words, if a post is liked by people across the spectrum, it's a sign that it's bridging divides. And that's what we want to promote.

Sparkable is the first social media platform designed entirely around the concept of bridging-based ranking.

Challenging the status quo.

Let's face it: traditional social media platforms often prioritize engagement over empathy ¹².

This ad-driven model tends to amplify sensational content, which can fuel radicalization, polarization, and hate ³ ⁴. In the worst case, it can contribute to physical violence ⁵ ⁶.

But what if we flipped the script?

By highlighting and boosting content that fosters understanding, we can create a more compassionate online environment.

Sparkable is an independent nonprofit organization working to bridge divides and spark the best in people.

To do that, we need to make sure our financial incentives align with our mission.

Our funding should come from the community we serve. That's why we are funded by ordinary people through donations. This allows us to stay free, bold, and independent.

From late 2022 to early 2024, we received funding from the Migros Pioneer Fund which enables pioneering projects that break new ground and seek out forward-looking solutions.
