Sparkable is a nonprofit social media platform designed to bridge divides. We’re an international team of volunteers working to strengthen democracy and social cohesion by reimagining social media as a force for good. 🌍
We’re legally based in 🇨🇭 Zurich, Switzerland, but our team is distributed around the world and works fully remotely.
Your role
Help shape a joyful social platform people intuitively understand and trust.
Depending on your strengths, you might:
- Design new interaction patterns (for example, “sparks” instead of likes):

- Turn complex ideas into simple, intuitive experiences
- Create clean, thoughtful interfaces for core features
- Shape the look and feel of a healthier social platform
- Build out our design system
We’re looking for someone who:
- Thinks about how design influences behavior
- Has strong UX and/or visual design skills
- Cares about online discourse and digital wellbeing
- Enjoys working in early-stage, ambiguous environments
This is a volunteer role with high ownership and real impact.
